Home | Zuma-Sambudla pushes for permanent jobs at MK’s rally in Limpopo The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party’s Member of Parliament, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, has criticised the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). The programme is a government initiative that provides temporary work opportunities to unemployed people. Zuma-Sambudla says government must create permanent employment for people rather than creating temporary contracts.

She engaged with MKP supporters at Ga-Moloi near Jane Furse in Limpopo during a campaign rally on Sunday. Zuma-Sambudla says job creation and economic development remain their top priority. She says, “One of the other things we were made aware of is the EPWP and how they are basically robbing our people R800 per month that is like receiving or going for a grant SASSA (South African Social Security Agency) that is not a job it is an unemployment remuneration so that needs to change.
