Fans were excited and how, when it was announced that Katrina Kaif , Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alia Bhatt are set to collaborate for a project directed by Farhan Akhtar . The film was announced in 2021 but since then has kept getting delayed due to some reason or the other. Some reports later had suggested that Priyanka had backed out of the project.
Later, Farhan also announced 'Don 3' and has started working on the same, with Ranveer Singh in the lead. Now Zoya Akhtar was asked about this delay during a chat and here's what she had to say. Zoya was set to produce the film with Farhan.
Giving an update on the project, she said during a chat with Indian Express' 'Expresso', "I think aligning the three of them, their dates, and Farhan, his dates is the reason for the delay." She further said that the film is very much in the works and it will happen. Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar who was also a part of this chat, was all praise for Alia.
"With Gangubai, Alia, today, is perhaps one of the few finest actors Actually, I feel she is the finest but I am being diplomatic so other heroines don’t get upset," he laughed. Zoya and her father Javed Akhtar spoke about the recently released docu-series on Salim-Javed's life titled ' Angry Young Men '. It released recently and is getting a great response from all over.
