If Zendaya is going to do one thing on the carpet, it’s put on a show

As a six-time Met Gala attendee, Zendaya is no stranger to hitting the event's famous red carpet. But one could say the fashion stakes are a little higher for the star at the annual star-studded affair. Last year, on Met-Monday, Zendaya was joined by fellow co-chairs Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, and Vogue 's Anna Wintour to welcome guests to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The gala celebrated and raised funds for the museum's Costume Institute, which showcased its spring exhibition, titled " Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion ." If anyone is up for the challenge of delivering a memorable fashion look on the Met steps, it's Zendaya. Since attending her very first Met back in 2015, the Euphoria and Dune star has consistently served up ensembles that are as head-turning as they are on theme.

One standout example? In 2018, the actor wore an armoured Versace look as a nod to Joan of Arc. It was a smart choice for the "Heavenly Bodies' theme, which explored the intersection of Catholicism and fashion. Zendaya also nailed thematic dressing for the 2019 "Camp: Notes on Fashion" gala, when she showed up in a Cinderella-like Tommy Hilfiger gown, complete with stylist Law Roach as her fairy godmother—wand and all.

Last year, she embraced the “Garden of Time” dress code in a blue, black, and green Margiela creation that evoked a mystical forest. Her gown featured faux grapes, a bird perched atop her head, a long feather in her hair, and a veil for added drama—all brought together with striking, theatrical makeup. And she didn’t stop there.

Zendaya made a second appearance that evening in vintage Givenchy haute couture: an off-the-shoulder black gown with a structured bodice and a voluminous skirt that flowed into an extravagant train, paired with an elaborate Alexander McQueen floral headpiece. If there’s one thing Zendaya will always do on the Met carpet, it’s put on a show. As for what the star will wear to this year's Met Gala, that's obviously a secret.

But considering the theme is “ Tailored for You” and that Zendaya is a not-so-secret lover of vintage and structured silhouettes, we're already predicting a knockout archival moment .
