Za'Darius Smith is set to make his Lions debut in Detroit on Sunday as the club hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Lions are 8-1 on the season and will be a better team with Smith hitting the field to make up for some of the lost impact at the defensive end position. With Aidan Hutchinson out for the season, the team needed to acquire a replacement at the position, though it wasn't going to be a player that could match the impact of the superstar.

Smith was traded from the Cleveland Browns, where he tallied five sacks through nine games this season. With 65 career sacks, the defensive end has been incredible for quite some time, and he'll add a veteran presence as he looks to help an NFC-leading Detroit club. The Lions are 7-0 after starting the season 1-1, and they've become title frontrunners along the way.

They should be the team to come out of the NFC and make the Super Bowl, and Smith will certainly help them do so. Ahead of his debut in Detroit, the stout defender sent a message with his pre-game outfit.

He was sporting a Rasheed Wallace Detroit Pistons jersey. . @zadariussmith pulled up to his first game in Detroit with the Sheed jersey 🔥 @Lions | @DetroitPistons 📺: #JAXvsDET – 1pm ET on CBS/Paramount+ 📱: https://t.

The Pistons traded for Wallace in 2004 before winning the NBA Championship that season. It's quite cool to see Smith with such an intentional pre-game outfit that correlates with the city and a historical championship. The Lions should be able to take care of the Jaguars as they look to win an eighth straight game and advance to 9-1 on the season.
