Subba Reddy said that Naidu made baseless comments to affect the sentiments of Hindus. For the past three years, we have implemented the use of organic products, including ghee, in TTD. For ghee, we source it from Rajasthan, using desi cows, with the help of donors," he said. CM Naidu has alleged that the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy government had used ' animal fat ' in consecrated sweets--' Tirupati Prasadam ' instead of 'Ghee' at Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati.
In a post on X, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh shared a video clip of his father, CM Naidu, addressing a gathering and wrote, "The Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala is our most sacred temple. I am shocked to learn that the Jagan administration used animal fat instead of ghee in the Tirupati Prasadam." "Shame on Y S Jagan and the YSCRP party government that couldn't respect the religious sentiments of crores of devotees," he wrote on the post.
