Prayagraj: A youth from Pratapgarh was arrested on Saturday for posing with a countrymade pistol on social media. Identified as Kuldeep Yadav from Balla village of Pratapgarh, he allegedly uploaded his photograph with the weapon on his social media account three days ago. The matter came to light when the photo went viral.
A team of Maheshganj police traced the movement of Kuldeep near Jheegur crossing when he was planning to flee from the town. The police team cordoned off the area and managed to catch him along with the countrymade pistol of .12 bore.
"A case under section 3/25 Arms Act was registered against him. Now, we are looking for the man who supplied him the weapon," police added..
