Following its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Young Werther is now scheduled to make its debut on December 13, in theaters and on digital platforms.
The cast also includes Iris Apatow (This is 40) as Sissy, (Suits) as Albert, Amrit Kaur (The Sex Lives of College Girls) as Melanie, Jaouhar Ben Ayed (No Man’s Land) as Paul, and more. “While on a simple errand to Toronto, a carefree and charming young writer named Werther stumbles across the love of his life only to discover that the young woman is engaged,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Despite the urgings of his hypochondriac best friend, Werther turns his world upside down in a desperate, misguided and hilarious quest to win her heart.
” The film is written directed by filmmaker José Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenço. In addition to leading the cast, Booth is also serving as an executive producer alongside Jonathan Bross, Andy Wang, Dave Mepham, Matthew E. Chausse, Mason Novick, Joe Simpson, and Simon Williams.
