BUFFALO, N.Y. — On an east side street in Buffalo Sunday afternoon, a couple of young men were walking by a house when they noticed something wrong with the Christmas decorations.

There was a fire. When the homeowner arrived later on and noticed something was different with the lawn decorations. Some of the lights were unplugged.

Tiara Miller decided to check the Ring Doorbell camera. She was floored with what she saw and heard. "We saw that the two young men left a really, really sweet message on how they just basically, pretty much saved the day for the home," Miller said.

This is what the young men could be heard saying on camera: "H i ma'am, we was just walking by and your outlet was on fire. We put it out and unplugged it, but we was just trying to get your attention and let you know your outlet caught on fire. We just unplugged it to make sure everything is OK.

We're going to unplug this one too. You have a good day and hope everything is OK ." She posted the video on Facebook and it went viral on TikTok.

Her goal was to find the young men, and in 15 minutes, she did. Miller told Channel 2's Claudine Ewing, "it's a pretty sweet story and I just felt like I wanted to share it because, you know, the guys were younger and a lot of times, you just see younger people in a negative light. I just wanted people to be able to see this and share some positivity.

" "I'm appreciative for both of them, and I've since been in contact with the both of the young men pretty much every day. I think some positivity needed to be shared, especially around the holidays and especially with younger people on the east side of Buffalo," she said. She also said things are in the works to show appreciation to the young men who prevented what could have been a house fire.
