This is the first photo of a young man who was killed during Storm Eowyn in Co Donegal after a tree fell on a car. The incident occurred at around 5.30am on Friday (January 24) as the country was battered by a red wind warning caused by the storm.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at Feddyglass, Raphoe in Co Donegal, where a tree fell on a car during the storm. The driver of the car, who has since been named as Kacper Dudek, 20, was fatally injured. Gardai said they continue to investigate the tragic incident.



A spokesperson said: ‘The body of the deceased man has been removed from the scene to the mortuary in Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.’ The N14 remains closed and local diversions are in place. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are conducting a full examination of the scene this morning (January 25).
