Two months removed from regaining her UFC championship title in the co-main event of UFC 306 against Alexa Grasso, ‘The Bullet’ is now being accused of ducking the #2 ranked flyweight contender. Never one to let a verbal shot go unanswered, reigning queen Valentina Shevchenko is firing back as she suggests that ‘The Beast’ has forgotten who she’s dealing with. Valentina Shevchenko fires back at ‘ill-mannered’ Fiorot over recent comments Manon ‘The Beast’ Fiorot was confirmed as the next UFC title challenger almost eight months ago, and the typically mild-mannered flyweight is getting frustrated by how long it’s taking ‘The Bullet’ to sign the contract.
“Stop making people wait!” Fiorot demanded in a recent post on her social media pages, claiming that she won’t just take the UFC title from Shevchenko, but that she’ll retire the future Hall of Famer. “Let’s do it soon enough so I can send you to retirement and move on.” That comment didn’t sit too well with the reigning flyweight champion, who offered a stern challenge to the 12-1 Frenchwoman in return.
“You lose – you retire, Deal?! Ill-mannered first-grader.” It wouldn’t take long for Fiorot to react to Shevchenko’s proposal, writing in response : “Deal, I’ll take you seriously when you’ve signed the contract, ‘Damn teacher’s pet’.” Fiorot is 7-0 under the UFC banner, with five consecutive unanimous decision wins over Erin Blanchfield , Rose Namajunas , Kalyn Cerminara, Jennifer Maia and Mayra Bueno Silva .
ON THE RISE : Erin Blanchfield calls out top flyweight after gritty comeback at UFC Edmonton However, ‘The Beast’ doesn’t have time on her side as she’s set to celebrate her 35 th birthday in early 2025. Shevchenko would later double down on her stance that Fiorot was disrespecting her, responding to a fan comment by stating that Fiorot was “that old with zero manners!” Valentina Shevchenko ‘isn’t worried’ about the former opponent’s UFC hype Aside from Manon Fiorot, ‘The Bullet’ was also recently called out for a fight by UFC newcomer Cong Wang, who won her promotional debut in August with a 62-second knockout of Victoria Leonardo. The Chinese ‘Joker’ famously bested Shevchenko in a kickboxing bout back in 2015 and was adamant that she could do the same in the octagon when she spoke to reporters after her impressive debut win.
“You guys only know I beat Shevchenko in kickboxing, but you don’t know I’m a sambo world champion, a boxing world champion, and a kickboxing world champion...
I believe my striking is better than her...
If she takes the fight, [I can beat her] any time.” Unsurprisingly, Shevchenko isn’t concerned about the challenge presented by Wang, telling Ariel Helwani that whilst she’s happy to see her former opponent in the UFC, that kickboxing bout also featured some sketchy judging. EXCLUSIVE : Sean O’Malley called out for crossover super-fight by Conor McGregor’s favorite BKFC champion “I’m not worried about that, I know how that fight was and she has so much to go – I am happy for her that she’s finally fighting in the UFC, the biggest league of MMA, I feel good for the entire country.
.. That is great, but the judge’s system is the judge’s system and sometimes it’s like unbelievable.
” Cong Wang is set to compete at UFC Fight Night: Yan vs Figueiredo in Macau, China, on November 23 against Gabriella Fernandes. BOXING : Roy Jones Jr makes shock Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul prediction.
