Jake Paul is not scared to fight Mike Tyson despite being impressed by his current shape. Heavyweight veteran Tyson is now 58 years old but is in training to face Paul on November 15 in a sanctioned professional bout. Many have expressed fears for Iron Mike's physical condition by the time fight night rolls around, but he has attempted to alleviate those concerns by posting clips of training footage .
The legend has flaunted his ripped physique looking in impressive shape given his age and medical conditions such as sciatica. He posted a video from his gym on social media where he posed topless, and Muhammad Ali's ex-manager Glen Kilroy was praising his current shape. The caption read: "Jake's wake in 20 days.
" Paul then replied in the comments section with a cheeky dig, which read: "Fair play Mike. You look incredible. "Hulk s***.
But I’m still fucking you up in 20 days. Paul will be the favourite in the contest despite a vast gap in their boxing experience, given he is still in his physical prime aged 27. And the 'Problem Child' has regularly repeated his intention to KO Tyson, and produce a sad end to the boxing legend's career.
Tyson had already lost a great deal of his punch resistance at the end of his professional career 19 years ago losing three of his last four fights before retiring after losing to Kevin McBride in 2005. It will be an uphill battle for the veteran who could well be fighting against his own body, but carries ferocious power which he has shown in training so far. The contest will be fought over eight two-minute rounds , a format which could well benefit Tyson who is likely to pose a threat in the early stages of the showdown.
And he has made his own KO prediction, suggesting that is exactly how the contest will play out, with Paul needing to survive his early onslaught. Tyson told FOX4 : “He can fight boxers his level. I do not believe [he's on my level], not at all.
"[The fight will be] not long, because as soon as I catch him he's gonna run like a thief. "I don't see how he's gonna make an exciting fight by running all day. "He's supposed to be the young guy, he's supposed to walk right through me, I'm an old man.
"He's gonna run all f***ing night. I think he should try [standing toe-to-toe], he's the younger man, he should be able to handle punches from an old withering man like me. "I can't wait for this evening to happen.
I don't believe Jake is taking this serious. I just don't think so. "I think he believes he's the young guy and I'm the quasi-retirement charm and he thinks this is going to be an easy touch.
" Tyson has been training hard and will see this as a unique opportunity to defy the laws of father time. Meanwhile Paul simply needs to win to avoid backlash in his social media world, but has even admitted he is 'fearful' of the thunderous punch power..
