New Delhi: A single email marked to around 3 prominent schools in Delhi sent the capital city into panic mode on Friday morning. The sender signalled that the bombs might be hidden in the school bag of any of the students. The sender also mentioned the sports activity scheduled in the schools and expected parent-teacher meeting.
The latest threats come on the back of at least 44 schools receiving similar emails on December 9. Police had declared those threats as hoaxes. The fire department, police and bomb detection teams, along with dog squads, have reached the schools and are conducting checks.
The schools' authorities have sent messages to guardians to not send their wards for classes. "We received calls (regarding the threat emails) from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar (4:21 am), Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri (6:23 am) and DPS Amar Colony in East of Kailash (6:35 am)," said a Delhi Fire Services official. What Did Threat Email Say? "This email is to inform you that there are many explosives in your school premises and I am sure that you all do not check your students bag frequently when they enter the school premises.
A secret dark web group is involved in this activity and many red rooms also. The bombs are powerful enough to destroy the buildings and harm people. And, from today till the 14th December, means tomorrow, in both of the days, there is an expected parent-teacher meeting to be happened," added the threat note.
"And, through our dark sources, it is also confirmed that one of the schools involved in all the emails is currently conducting marching for their sports day, in which students gather in a collective field, making a huge crowd, which is a clear advantage, while the building will be left alone with only a few staffs and no one to look around," it added.
