Mike Phelan has insisted that Ruben Amorim must now make a major call over one Manchester United star after the 2-2 Europa League draw against Lyon.Manchester United and Lyon played out an entertaining contest at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in their first-leg Europa League quarter-final clash.Lyon struck first in the last-eight encounter against United after Thiago Almada’s direct free-kick in the first half managed to beat a careless Andre Onana.
Thiago Almada’s opener for Lyon was cancelled out before half-time after Leny Yoro turned in a superb header from close range past Lucas Perri in first-half injury time.United built momentum against Lyon in the second half and the Red Devils took the lead after Joshua Zirkzee climbed off the bench and scored a brilliant header.However, Joshua Zirkzee’s effort in the 88th minute would be cancelled out by a dramatic late equaliser for Lyon deep into second-half stoppage time.
