Yorkshire pub wants to open and play music until 2am on Sundays

A North Yorkshire pub wants to extend its opening hours and play live and recorded music late into the night. Dickens Bar in Scarborough in 41 Huntriss Row in the town centre wants to extend its Sunday opening hours until 2am the following day. Should the proposed licence variation be approved, the allowed hours for playing live and recorded music, as well as alcohol sales from Sunday to Thursday, would be extended until 1.

30am. Currently, the bar's licence limits its Sunday opening hours from 8am to midnight, with alcohol sales permitted until 11.30pm from Sunday to Thursday.



In addition, the pub is also looking to extend the permitted hours for providing late-night refreshments on Sundays to 1.30am, currently limited to midnight. The application was submitted to North Yorkshire Council 's licensing service by Punch Partnerships Ltd and is open for public comment.
