The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has reminded civil servants in the state on the need to rededicate themselves to their duties and services. The governor also reiterated the need for them to stay faithful and loyal to the policies and programmes of the Mai Mala Buni administration. This reminder was reechoed when the state government hosted top government officials, clerics, politicians, and business leaders to a reception (walima) marking the end of the Eid el-Fitr festivities at the Government House, Damaturu, on Saturday.

Represented by his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, Governor Buni expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the peaceful and healthy celebration. Gubana, who explained to the array of distinguished guests at the occasion that Governor Buni is currently in Saudi Arabia, performing the lesser Hajj and praying for Nigeria and Yobe State’s peace and success, urged the residents to stay committed to the government’s policies. He seized the occasion to “remind civil servants in the state on the need to dedicate themselves to their duties and services while also staying faithful and loyal to the state government.



” Earlier, in his own remarks, the Chief Imam of Yobe Mosque and Islamic Center, Ustas Hudu Mohammad Yusuf, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful Eid el-Fitr celebration and highlighted the significance of the sallah festivities. The event which concluded with prayers for Yobe state’s peace and progress, equally saw the attendees pray for the continued development of Nigeria as a whole before the dignitaries exchanged the routine “Eid Mubarak, Barka da Sallah,” greetings..
