Yobe State’s Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, is leading an advance team to Morocco in preparation for a significant partnership between Yobe State and the Moroccan government. The partnership aims to explore investment opportunities in education, agriculture, and local government, focusing on employment generation and wealth creation. Agriculture is a priority area for the Buni administration, driving economic recovery, especially among returnee communities.
Last year, the Yobe State government launched a massive agricultural empowerment program, providing over 100 tractors, hand tillers, harvesters, sprayers, fertilizers, and other farm implements. The partnership also seeks to boost entrepreneurial education in schools across the state. This initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to declare an emergency on education and give the sector priority attention.
Governor Mai Mala Buni is expected to arrive in Morocco later, leading the state delegation. This partnership is expected to bring significant benefits to Yobe State, promoting economic growth, employment, and education..
