As the name suggests, on-chain guilds are in a blockchain, a decentralized network for cryptocurrencies. In ancient times, guilds were groups of people from specific trades, such as merchants or blacksmiths. Nowadays, guilds refer to a group of players in online games.

On-chain guilds bring the old definition to the digital age, allowing people to collaborate online depending on their professions or businesses. “I see guilds as more of the small to medium enterprises (SME) of the Internet,” Dizon said. “These are people who are gathered together, and what makes Web3 special is the ability to own assets as a group.

” Later, Dizon explained YGG’s newest project called “Future of Work.” It allows members to perform different non-gaming activities to earn cryptocurrency, such as data labeling. Afterwards, Jesse Pollak, the creator of Base, took to the stage to explain his project.

Base is a blockchain platform that offers “a secure, low-cost, developer-friendly way for anyone, anywhere, to build decentralized apps (DApps) onchain.” He compared it to a business where contributors earn income from various tasks. However, part of their total revenue goes to the on-chain guild or “enterprise.

” Meanwhile, DAapps are like the latest innovations that will enable numerous creators to build their software solutions and launch them immediately. On-chain guilds and DApps will likely bring more freedom and innovation to workers. They can enable intrepid creators to fully reap the benefits of their projects as they transform the world.

Hence, Pollak urges Filipinos to join this revolution by using blockchain technology. They can start by registering to Coins.ph, PDAX or YGG and reading their guides.

Then, they can apply their knowledge on those platforms. Lastly, Pollak gave three essential tips for aspiring blockchain creators: Subscribe to our daily newsletter By providing an email address. I agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Policy .
