He announced that in addition to the Xiaomi 15 series and HyperOS 2, the company will introduce the Pad 7 series, Watch S4, and Band 9 Pro. Furthermore, Xiaomi plans to expand its hardware offerings with the unveiling of a premium electric scooter series, smart door locks, Wi-Fi 7 routers, and additional products.
In total, the event will showcase 16 new items. Lei confirmed that the base model of the Xiaomi 15 series will feature 12GB of RAM, an increase from the previous 8GB, aimed at enhancing on-device AI capabilities. He also highlighted significant advancements in design, energy efficiency, and overall user experience.
Consequently, the Xiaomi 15 series will be priced slightly higher than its predecessor. In response to the price increase, Lei Jun emphasized that the Xiaomi 15 series continues to provide outstanding value. He pointed out the benefits of the upgraded 3nm process technology alongside the rising costs of RAM and ROM.
Xiaomi has provided insights into its display technology, revealing that the entire Xiaomi 15 series will incorporate a bespoke M9 luminous material characterized by a dual micro-cavity structure.
