One of Charleston’s finest antique shops, Wynsum Antiques and Interiors, now has second location at 903 Houston Northcutt in the Whole Foods Shopping Center in Mount Pleasant. Owner and architect John Palmer has operated the original downtown store at 648 King Street since 2017 and is thrilled to have curated another space that welcomes interior designers, antique collectors and everyday customers wanting one-of-a-kind treasures. “For eight years, Wynsum Downtown has offered patrons fine antiques such as early European and American furniture, elegant lighting and paintings dating back centuries.
The customer who enjoys a more modern and contemporary aesthetic also has plenty to explore,” said Palmer. “With this concept in mind, we have assembled another amazing space filled with unique furnishings and décor, lighting, modern and traditional art and distinctive gifts. We also have a fine selection of estate jewelry, silver, rugs and objects for the garden.
” Similar to the downtown store, Wynsum Mount Pleasant is a 3650 square-foot space housing a collective of 30 individual dealers, hand-picked by Palmer to offer Mount Pleasant customers exquisite items for their homes, gardens and businesses. “I wanted to create a beautiful space to cater to the discerning customer in Mount Pleasant, who wants the unique feel of a downtown antique shop, but with the convenience of parking and a location on this side of the bridge,” added Palmer. Wynsum Mount Pleasant will host a jubilant grand opening on Nov.
