Image via: WWE The October 18 episode of Friday Night SmackDown opened with a five-minute video package. Following that, The New Bloodline came out to kick off the episode. Solo Sikoa ordered Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso to acknowledge him.
Jey Uso came through the crowd and asked Sikoa to stop fighting over The Bloodline and unite the faction. After the short segment, several matches were booked for the night alongside a few promos. Finally, WWE played Kevin Owens’ video following his threatening message online.

Further, a Triple Threat Match, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton segment were the highlights of the night. Triple Threat Tag Team Qualifying Match: Pretty Deadly vs.
DIY vs. Street Profits Ford, Prince, and Ciampa started the match in the ring, with Ciampa hitting a knee on Ford and sending him outside. Prince slapped Ciampa and ran, but Ciampa chased him until Wilson tackled Ciampa on the outside.
Later, all six men got involved which ended with Pretty Deadly double-teaming Ciampa. Ford landed a superkick on them and went to the top rope, but Prince tripped him. Dawkins then threw Wilson outside, setting up Ford for a Doomsday Blockbuster.
Ciampa pinned Wilson, while Ford covered Prince for the win. Result: DIY with the win. Piper Niven vs.
Lash Legend The match began with Niven hitting a shoulder tackle on Legend. Niven attempted a splash, however, Legend dodged and hit a kick followed by her own splash. After several near falls, Niven slammed Legend, but she kicked out.
Niven went for a cannonball, but Legend avoided it. A distraction from Chelsea Green on the apron gave Legend an opening. Legend slammed Niven face-first into the mat and covered her for the pin, securing the win.
Result: Lash Legend defeated Piper Niven. Cody Rhodes segment Cody Rhodes is set to fight Gunther in the Champion vs. Champion match in WWE’s upcoming PLE, Crown Jewel.
Rhodes entered the ring, eyeing the Crown Jewel Championship. He acknowledged Gunther's strength but stressed that he is confident in himself. Cody mentioned his daughter as his true motivation and said that he wanted her to see his name as the first champion.
He then invited Gunther to SmackDown to face him. Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and Nick Aldis segment A pre-recorded video showed Kevin Owens reflecting on his 10 years in WWE. In the video, he was seen frustrated for being sidelined after attacking the "golden boy.
" He questioned his value to the company and revealed that he was surprised over Randy Orton choosing Cody Rhodes over him. Owens hinted he might not return anytime soon. Meanwhile, Orton confronted Nick Aldis, demanding a match with Owens at Crown Jewel.
Aldis said it wasn’t possible due to higher orders. Triple Threat Tag Team Match: A-Town Down Under vs. Los Garza vs.
Motor City Machine Guns The match began with Garza and Waller targeting Chris Sabin, but Sabin fought back with elbows and a crossbody. Sabin hit a tornado DDT on Waller, sending them both outside. Shelley tagged in, and Motor City Machine Guns double-teamed Waller.
Amid the high-octane action with all six men brawling, Theory was tagged in and hit a dropkick on Garza. Later, Alex and Sabin combined for a neckbreaker-splash combo, with Alex covering for the pin and victory. Result: Motor City Machine Guns with the win.
Nia JAX and Candice Lerae vs. Naomi and Bayley The match began with Nia Jax dominating Bayley. She slammed her into the corner.
Candice Lerae tagged in but Bayley fought back with a forearm. Naomi entered, but Lerae tripped her up which allowed Jax to return. The WWE Women's Champion hit a spinebuster and senton, but Naomi kicked out.
Later, Naomi hit a suicide dive on Nia outside. Bayley was tripped and thrown into the ring post by Indi Hartwell, and Lerae capitalized with a moonsault and pinned Bayley for the win. Result: Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.
Roman Reigns and The Bloodline segment Roman Reigns addressed the fans as he questioned Solo Sikoa's claim that their family was stronger. Solo demanded Reigns to acknowledge him as Tribal Chief. Reigns refused after a huge chant from the crowd saying “No.
” The Bloodline arrived and soon captured Jimmy Uso. The OTC fought back, hitting Solo with a Superman Punch, but Solo delivered a low blow. The Bloodline then attacked with the numbers game and Solo hit Reigns with two Samoan Spikes.
