One of the leading Bengali television channels is about to conclude a Bengali serial after only 3 months of its run. Mohana Maiti and Sayan Bose starrer ‘Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi’ is set to go off-air very soon. On the other hand, the same channel is set to add a new show to its roster.
After introducing two new serials as part of their Matinee Show, ‘Kajol Nodir Jole’ and ‘Amar Sangi’, the channel is gearing up with its new offering. The new show ‘Anondi’ is set to feature Writwik Mukherjee and Annwesha Hazra as the lead cast of the show.
Earlier, ‘ Ram Krishnaa ’ famed actor Nilankur Mukhopadhyay was supposed to be featured opposite Annwesha on the new show. However, Writwik has been finalised to play the role of the male protagonist on the new show and the promo of ‘Anondi’ is out already. As per the promo of ‘Anondi’, Writwik’s character will be seen as a doctor on the show.
Despite being a doctor by profession, he is unable to give his own grandmother an injection that’s needed for her treatment. He decides to bring in a nurse to take care of his grandmother but she is stubborn to get herself a granddaughter-in-law instead. On the other hand, no one from the nursing school is ready to work in the house.
Anondi Ghosh, played by Annwesha Hazra, agrees to take the job for the sake of the financial aspect. As Anondi navigates her way, Writwik’s character is left in awe. Will their bond turn sweeter with time? ‘Anondi’ aims to tell that story.
Writwik Mukherjee and Annwesha Hazra, who are set to essay the lead roles on the show, have previously worked together on ‘Amader Ei Poth Jodi Na Sesh Hoy’. The popular Bengali serial started its journey in 2021 and emerged as one of the most-watched shows on Bengali TV. Writwik and Annwesha’s on-screen chemistry won the hearts of the audience and they became one of the most sought-after fan-favourite reel couples.
With the new show ‘Anondi’, Writwik and Annwesha are set to treat the audience with their spectacular chemistry. The slot of the new show is yet to be announced. However, rumours are abuzz that once ‘Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi’ goes off-air, ‘Anondi’ will be premiering to fill up the timeslot.
