Having TV cameras pointed at you can do all sorts of unexpected things to a person, like causing them to freeze or blank out and make silly mistakes that they wouldn’t otherwise make. I’m not necessarily saying that’s what happened to contestant Vivian Tran during Monday night’s episode of — though I’m sure if she’d been watching at home, she might have been one of the many people who were screaming at the screen “come on!!” in response to her whiffing on the puzzle.
