The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election 2024 is scheduled for November 20. Worli, one of the major seats in the Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency, is a general category seat and is currently represented by Aaditya Thackeray from Shiv Sena (UBT). Aaditya is eyeing a second consecutive term, having first won the Worli seat in 2019 by a margin of 67,427 votes.

However, this time, he faces a strong challenge from Milind Deora, a Rajya Sabha member and former Congress leader, who is now with Shiv Sena (Shinde). Before Thackeray, the constituency was represented by Sunil Shinde (Shiv Sena). Milind Deora's name as the Shiv Sena nominee came as a surprise to many who never expected a Rajya Sabha member to contest assembly elections.
