Women of Texarkana Tea Party holds first event

TEXARKANA, Ark. – A new group, the Women of the Texarkana Tea Party, hosted its first event Saturday afternoon at the Crossties Venue downtown with a mother-daughter tea party theme. Several women came with their daughters, aunts, nieces, and sisters.

The women enjoyed an array of different teas, hors d'oeuvres, a horse and carriage ride, and learned what a tea party is all about. Organizer Katina Levingston said the group will be meeting on the first Saturday of each month. “Our mission is women on the move,” said Levingston.



“We go out into the community and help people that are needing the help; we have underserved people that are going through and we will just be giving back to the community to where we can, each and every month.” For more information, the Women of Texarkana Tea Party have their own Facebook page .".
