Police are searching for a missing woman who they suspect may be wild camping in a secluded part of North Wales. Christine Fish, 55, a farm volunteer, was last seen on the evening of February 26 after she vanished from her home in Market Drayton, Shropshire. It's now believed that Christine may have gone wild camping in the countryside, following sightings of her purchasing camping gear from Blacks, an outdoor activity store in Shrewsbury, on February 28.

Known as an "avid walker", Christine purchased a one-person tent and a new jacket from the store. Detective Inspector Richard Davies said: "Today marks two weeks since Christine was last seen by her family and as more time goes on the more concern we have for her welfare.

" He added: "Christine is a keen walker, and she would be capable of travelling some distance, so I ask people from across Shropshire to report any sightings of her. We also know she purchased a tent whilst in Blacks and she could well be camping somewhere rural," reports the Manchester Evening News . He concluded by saying: "Following our enquiries we do not believe there to be any third-party involvement in her disappearance and ask you to contact us with any information, however small you may feel it may be, as it could well be the vital piece that we need to locate her".

Christine was also captured on CCTV entering WH Smith in Shrewsbury on the morning of February 28 and later passing through the barriers at Shrewsbury train station. Officers believe her phone was used in Sutton Hill in Telford, Shropshire, at around 4pm on March 3 - but that is the last trace they have of her. Det Insp Davies told the BBC : "We're coming up to a two-week period now where we've had no usage of the phone, we've got no other financial transactions to monitor.

Be alert in rural places, if you see someone camping who matches that description, please report it as soon as possible. "Dog walkers, farmers, anyone who comes across someone, we're just appealing for them to report it as soon as possible. There's a real possibility that Christine could be camping - we know that she can walk long distances,.

"She could be somewhere very, very remote." Christine is described as being a 5ft 7in white female, of slim build, with grey shoulder-length hair. She wears glasses and was last seen wearing a rainbow scarf, Lilo and Stitch jumper, purple coat, black jeans and trainers.
