Registration is underway for the 16th annual AgCeptional Women’s Conference. This year’s theme is “Emerging Agriculture,” and the conference will be Friday, Nov. 22 at the Lifelong Learning Center.
The AgCeptional Women’s Conference will feature more than 20 speakers. Topics include emerging technology in livestock production, an introduction to mindfulness, transforming how you use your time, advanced technologies in livestock reproduction, postural restoration physical therapy, appraising agricultural land, skin health and the necessity of sunlight, navigating family dynamics on the farm and ranch, stopping the stress cycle, grain marketing panel, all levels yoga class and many more options to choose from. “From spray drones, to RFID tags in cattle, or even autonomous tractors, as farmers or ranchers we are witnessing emerging agriculture,” said Karmen Hake, AgCeptional administrative assistant.
“The 16th annual AgCeptional Women’s Conference hopes to highlight these advancements to agriculture, as well as the emerging ways we as producers or members of rural communities can continue to improve our health and well-being.” The opening session will feature a keynote speaker who has faced much adversity in her life yet continues to move forward. Brooke Clay Taylor was building a career while building her family until she was struck with a breast cancer diagnosis six hours before welcoming her baby into the world.
As she fought a second round of cancer, she created the Rural Gone Urban Foundation to support brave, strong women who need people in their corner. Today, with a handful of clear scans in the rear-view, she shares her inspiring message with wit and humor. A tribute to the recipient of the 2024 AgCeptional Spotlight Award also will be a highlight of the conference.
“We are able to keep the cost of attending the conference affordable thanks to the support of the many sponsors of our event,” Hake said. * * * Want to learn more?
