But one woman is already knee-deep in her festive preparations – and has even wrapped her gifts. Paula Hanson took to TikTok to reveal a nifty wrapping hack that she claims has made " Christmas a whole lot easier," sparking curiosity among her followers as to why she's prepping for the holiday season over three months early.

Paula flaunted a recent buy – 27 foil bags adorned with Yuletide motifs. "Why bother with wrapping? Just put the gift in the bag, tie it, and there you go," she demonstrated with some gifts she'd already put gifts into. She described them as "gorgeous," suggesting they'll add an extra touch of magic to the presents . "They're gonna instantly make Christmas festive, no messing around with scissors or Sellotape," she enthused while flicking through the ones still awaiting gifts. "Honestly, you can't go wrong.

" In the comments section, users expressed their bemusement at her premature wrapping. "It's September?" one user wrote. Echoing the sentiment, another added: "I had to check the calendar there, yup it's September.

" Paula replied: "Some people plan in advance so they can afford Christmas." However, not everyone was thrilled about the potential environmental impact. One commenter pointed out: "Although I mainly use wrapping paper I do buy gift bags sometimes but only biodegradable ones.

I feel there's enough plastic in the world." Paula had initially defended her choice of gift bags by saying they were "foil" so "could be recycled", however, another woman countered, pointing out: "These are not foil so can't be recycled. They are metallised plastic film.

" To this, Paula retorted: "By recycled i mean used every year. My mum has been using the same foil bags for 3 years now." Others chimed in explaining their preference for the joy that comes with "ripping off the paper" during the festive unwrapping process.

One fellow added a more traditional take, suggesting using such bags "takes away the spirit of Christmas" and caters to "lazy people". Yet, Paula stood firm on her stance, asserting: "Definitely not lazy. I do absolutely everything at Christmas: cleaning, cooking, wrapping.

Rinse and repeat.".
