Times News Network Ludhiana: Two unidentified women robbed another woman of her gold earrings and confined her in the bed box at her house in Islamganj area on Thursday evening. While the accused women escaped from the spot, the victim was rescued about half an hour later, when her son came home. The victim, identified as Poonam, 42, a resident of Islamganj, filed a complaint with division number 2 police.

The woman said that she offered a health service, for which several women would visit her house. On Thursday evening, two women came to her house and claimed that they wanted the treatment. However, on finding her alone at home, they overpowered her and snatched her gold earrings.



Then they forced her into the bed box before fleeing. The woman said that when her son came home after half an hour, she started knocking on the bed box to attract his attention. He rescued her and took her hospital.

She was sent home after a check-up. The woman claimed that a CCTV camera installed near the house had captured the women and attached the footage with the police complaint. Police said that the allegations were being verified.
