SEREMBAN: An elderly woman endured a sad birthday after her RM6,500 gold bracelets were snatched by two men at Seri Perdana flats in Paroi yesterday.

SEREMBAN: An elderly woman endured a sad birthday after her RM6,500 gold bracelets were snatched by two men at Seri Perdana flats in Paroi yesterday.Rubiah Harun, 65, had just returned home on her motorcycle after a shopping trip when the incident occurred at 1.30pm.

"My house is near the main entrance. After parking my motorcycle, I started watering the plants. "Shortly after, a motorcycle with two men started circling the area.



"At first, I thought they were just trying to enter the flat, so I didn't suspect anything."The pillion rider got off the motorcycle and walked towards me."She said the man, who was wearing dark clothing and a full-face helmet, lunged at her from behind and yanked off her bracelets.

"I froze. The man ran back to his accomplice, and they sped off. A passing driver shouted at them.

"It's heartbreaking because it was my birthday yesterday, and today, I was robbed. "I had just bought those bracelets before Aidilfitri, and they're worth about RM6,500."Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din said police were tracing the suspects.
