A woman has suffered a suspected broken ankle in a Wodonga hit and run. or signup to continue reading The 22-year-old victim was hit by a vehicle about 5pm on Tuesday, April 8, before the driver fled in a different car. The incident occurred on Beardmore Street and detectives are still searching for the driver, who had been in a small silver hatch.
The alleged offender and victim are known to each other. "We're looking for the offender at this stage," a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday morning. "Any assistance would be appreciated.
"Those with information can contact Wodonga detectives." In other police news, police are investigating a car fire involving a stolen Renault van at Bonegilla. The vehicle was found burning on Old Weir Road about 11am on Tuesday.
