Woman finds phone recording inside public bathroom on Gold Coast

A man has been arrested after a woman found a camera inside a public bathroom on the Gold Coast.

Tweet Facebook Mail A woman has discovered a camera inside a public bathroom on the Gold Coast. Police say the woman was using the bathroom at a cafe on Cronin Avenue yesterday around 11am when she found a mobile phone set up and recording. The woman removed the phone on her way out of the bathroom and was allegedly confronted by the person who placed it there, who then fled.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with breach of privacy by recording. He is due to appear before Southport Magistrates Court on November 4. Acting Superintendent Scott Knowles said investigators will look at any other footage on the camera.
