A woman has died after an incident on the A27. The A27 was closed in both directions between the Devil’s Dyke and Hangleton interchange. Sussex Police has confirmed a 36-year-old woman from Hove died following the incident at around 5pm.
The woman’s family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We thank the public for their understanding. “This will now be a coronial matter.” The Argus understands the death was not the result of a crash. The road was fully reopened just before 7pm.
