Woman conductor injured after PMPML bus hits her at Nigdi depot

Pune: A 38-year-old woman conductor suffered a head injury and a fracture on her left leg after a PMPML e-bus hit her inside the depot at Bhakti-Shakti Chowk in Nigdi on Friday afternoon. The accident occurred when the woman was walking towards the office to get a water bottle. She lodged a complaint with the Nigdi police on Saturday.

An officer from the Nigdi police said according to the complainant, on Friday around 2.30pm, she was walking towards the office at the PMPML's depot at Bhakti-Shakti Chowk to refill water in her bottle. "Around the same time, an e-bus on the route between Akurdi and Nigdi was entering the depot and hit the victim," the officer said.



The conductor was taken to a nearby hospital. The police registered a case under sections 281 (negligent driving) and 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Act..
