Woman charged with 'attempted murder' after death of man

A woman has been arrested following the death of a man in a North Lanarkshire flat. The 47-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder and assault after the death of James McMaster. The 53-year-old's body was found within a property in Maxton Crescent in Wishaw on Thursday, December 5.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 47-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder and assault following the death of a man in Wishaw. "James McMaster, aged 53, was found within a flat in Maxton Crescent in Wishaw on Thursday, December 5, 2024.



"The woman is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.".
