A WOMAN made a shocking discovery after thrifting a large piece of homeware from Facebook. While she was thrilled with getting the item by itself, hidden inside was a collection of kitchenware from a luxury brand. "My jaw hit the floor!!" exclaimed TikToker Amanda DeWitt ( @itsamandadewitt ) in a recent post .
Amanda explained that she'd bought a "stunning" Louis XVI Buffet through Facebook Marketplace for about one-ninth of its typical price point. For reference, versions of the Louis XVI Buffet can go for over $20,000, as per listing on Wayfair . So not only was the deal almost too sweet to be true, but Amanda unlocked some of the cabinets to find even more "insane" value.

The signature orange boxes could be seen in the clip as Amanda pulled them out of the buffet in shock. "I mean beautiful, literally what dreams are made of," the TikToker expressed.
COULDN'T STAY SILENT While it was a fortunate find, Amanda said she just couldn't go on with keeping the buffet unless she mentioned it to the seller. Most read in Money Given the luxury Hermes set's worth and likely sentimental value, Amanda decided to inform them that she found the fine china within the antique buffet. "I have no idea whether this china was left on accident, on purpose — obviously I'm not like, a horrible person so I did message the [seller] that I bought it from," Amanda explained.
Despite her hopes that they wouldn't want the Hermes collection back, a follow-up video showed that they did come back to get it. Amanda could be seen with her face in her hands in disappointment. GOOD SAMARITAN While it wasn't the result the TikToker wanted, several praised her for doing the right thing and reaching out to the seller when she could've just said nothing and kept the entire Hermes collection.

Good job for being a good person," a third added. Someone else argued that they would've waited a little longer to contact to seller to see if they would reach out first. Others criticized that move as selfish.
Either way, it wouldn't be the first time recently that someone thrifted an item only to find it had considerably more value than expected.
