Vadodara: A woman bootlegger involved in dozens of offences was arrested by the detection of crime branch (DCB) on Sunday for allegedly running a gambling den in the city. Harsha Kahar, a resident of Waghodia Road, was nabbed from the Panigate area along with 10 others who were involved in gambling. The police said they received a tip-off that a gambling den was being run from a house in Panigate, following which they raided the spot.
The cops found Kahar running the den while 10 others were playing the card game. Kahar is a bootlegger accused in over 70 offences of selling liquor and gambling. The police also seized Rs 60,000 cash along with some mobile phones.
