Wolfpack win with seventh inning rally

The Walkertown High School varsity baseball team rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and claimed a 6-5 Mid State 2-A conference win over visiting Reidsville on Tuesday night. The Walkertown High School varsity baseball team rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and claimed a 6-5 Mid State 2-A conference win over visiting Reidsville on Tuesday night.The Wolfpack led 2-1 after three innings. The Rams plated three runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 4-2 lead.

Reidsville led 5-4 going into the bottom of the seventh inning.Walkertown’s Caden Joyce started on the mound, pitched six innings, had five strikeouts and gave up only one earned run. The Wolfpack had four errors in the game.



Aaron Hester pitched the seventh inning, had two strikeouts and collected the win.The Wolfpack’s Dakota Larimore was 3-for-3 at the plate, scored two runs and hit a triple. Cam Smith was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Caden Joyce was 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a double.Walkertown (15-3, 7-2 MS 2-A) will play away against Reidsville (4-9, 1-5 MS 2-A) on Friday at 6 p.m.
