Mariah Witmer sent two balls out of the yard to help Holy Spirit rally past Our Lady of Mercy

Mariah Witmer went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI as Holy Spirit overcame a six-run deficit after four and a half innings to earn a 12-11 win against Our Lady of Mercy in walk-off fashion in Absecon. 4/16 - 2:30 PM Softball Final Our Lady of Mercy 11 Holy Spirit 12 Holy Spirit raced out to an early 4-0 lead by plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning before Our Lady of Mercy responded with six runs in the top of third, three in the fourth, and two in the fifth to take an 11-5 lead. Josie Long also went deep for Holy Spirit, hitting a two-run home run in a 1-for-4 day at the plate.

Holy Spirit dug out of its six-run hole with four runs in the bottom of the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh to walk it off. Jazlynn Santiago hit a triple, knocked in a run, stole a base, and came around to score three times in a 3-for-5 effort for Holy Spirit (9-2). Teegan Sofran had a strong day at the plate for Our Lady of Mercy, smacking a home run, knocking in three runs and drawing a walk while going 3-for-4.
