Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Watch for N. PA

Some snow accumulations are possible later Thursday into Friday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Late this week our area will see a complex system bringing rain and also snow to many spots.

Rain for Thursday afternoon into Thursday night with snow showers mixing in the hills. There will be rain showers Friday with snow in the hills and some of those showers will last into Saturday with some snow accumulations for the higher terrain. The Southern Tier could pick up 1 to 3 inches of slushy, wet snow Thursday night into Friday, especially for the higher elevations.



A bit more snow is possible for northern PA. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for McKean county from 1 p.m.

Thursday to 7 a.m. Saturday, which includes Bradford.

Snow totals could be between 3 and 5 inches. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Potter county from 4 p.m.

Thursday to 4 p.m. Friday, which includes Coudersport.

Snow totals could reach around 6 inches, especially at and above 1500 feet elevation. Plan on slippery roads and reduced visibilities at times, including during the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. Stay tuned to Storm Team 2 for continued weather updates.
