Today looks to be a beautiful fall day across the southeast portions of Minnesota, however a south breeze will keep rustling the leaves throughout the day. Winds pick up to around 15-25 mph with some stronger gusts out of the south today, as high temperatures climb up into the low 80s for a warm start to the first weekend in October. Going throughout the day, by the evening we wills tart to see a few more clouds move on in from the west as a cold front approaches the area throughout the evening, but we will look to stay dry.

For tonight, winds then look to shift more to out of the west as the front pushes on through the region. Then by tomorrow, we are tracking another breezy day, and this time winds will have shifted to be out of the Northwest. Highs look to be nearly 20° cooler than they will have been today, topping out in the low 60s for most of the region, and we also see lows Sunday night dropping down into the low 40s.

ADVERTISEMENT Heading out throughout the next week, we are still staying dry throughout the region, and while we get one more day in the 60s to start the week, we are gradually returning to above seasonable temperatures. By midweek, we are keeping an eye on the chance for a beautiful stretch of sunny days with high temperatures quickly returning to the 80s throughout the region..
