Winds pick up as we head into end of week

Snow flurries will have tapered off for much of the region, but we will deal with a gusty afternoon Thursday with clouds lingering for another day.

On Thursday, the system that brought us a few flurries Wednesday will be moving out of the region, but will still be leaving a gusty day behind it. Highs stay in the 40s for much of the region, however, we will be dealing with a blustery wind out of the northwest at 20-30 mph with higher gusts and cloudy skies for much of the day. On Friday, we look to have a little bit of sun peek through and the breeze will calm down a little, but still stay out of the northwest, which keeps temperatures in the 40s again.

Winds look to stay light but highs will continue to fall through the 30s. Wrapping up the weekend, we could get the chance for a brief snowflake Sunday night into Monday as highs continue to drop toward and below the freezing mark heading into next week.
