Sport | Tennis The action continues at Wimbledon on day three, with both Centre Court and Court One hosting some of the tournament’s biggest stars on Wednesday. Round two in the men’s and women’s singles gets underway in earnest with fifth seed Daniil Medvedev first up on Centre Court before Naomi Osaka continues her comeback with a tricky tie against seeded American Emma Navarro. Top seed Jannik Sinner wraps up the action on the top arena in SW19 but Court One also has plenty going on, started by Coco Gauff easing past Romanian teenager Anca Todoni.

Then it’s the turn of Carlos Alcaraz before Emma Raducanu faces the experienced Elise Mertens of Belgium. Following Marketa Vondrousova’s exit in the first round on Tuesday, the underdogs’ tails are certainly up in the bidding for further upsets. All times BST, 11am start unless stated.
