For a third consecutive week, Willie Peters has named an unchanged 21-man squad for Hull KR ’s first Super League away game of 2025. Rovers travel to Belle Vue for Thursday night’s match against Wakefield Trinity to open the second round of action. Peters confirmed on Monday that full-back Niall Evalds has overcome a rib injury that saw him switch positions with Mikey Lewis against Castleford Tigers, and has been training in preparation for Daryl Powell’s Wakefield.

The 45-year-old head coach had however revealed that there will be a late check on an unnamed player, while Trinity will be without Liam Hood and Ky Rodwell due to ankle and hamstring injuries respectively. “We have a couple there that we just have to wait and see – maybe one at the end of the week to see where he’s at. Other than that, we’re going okay, Niall will be fine," Peters said on Monday .

“I won’t say [who], I’ll wait until later in the week because he could be okay. We’ll wait and see where he’s at." Hull KR claimed a hard-fought 19-18 golden point victory to open their 2025 Super League campaign, with reigning Man of Steel Lewis kicking a drop-goal winner against a spirited Castleford Tigers outfit, who were on the end of a Challenge Cup upset the week prior against Bradford Bulls.

Peters will go into Thursday’s match with the same squad to pick from, with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves having made his Super League debut at Sewell Group Craven Park. New Zealand international Hiku picked up one disciplinary point by the match review panel for a Grade A charge for late contact on passer. Hull KR's 21-man squad : Niall Evalds, Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess, Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella, Micky McIlorum, Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Rhyse Martin, Jack Broadbent, Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown, Bill Leyland.
