A school is urging the community to help them win a recycled playground. William Penn Primary School, near Horsham, is one of many participating in Sistema's nationwide recycling contest. The contest, which runs until December 18, rewards the school which collects the most plastic containers and bottles with a playground made from 100 per cent recycled materials.

Anna Constable, acting head at William Penn Primary School, said: "We’re thrilled to be participating in this great contest from Sistema. "This really is a great initiative that will not only help our school but also our environment, whilst educating our pupils and the local community on the importance of recycling." The public can contribute by dropping off used plastic containers, lids, and reusable bottles at the school's collection points.

These are located outside the school gates on Brooks Green Road, Coolham, and at the Quaker Meeting House on Worthing Road, Horsham – both are open 24/7..
