Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Charkarborty has instigated quite a furor online over his recent inflammatory speech against Muslim minorities in West Bengal in front of Home Minister Amit Shah, who has been accused by the Canadian Government of his alleged role in the gory execution of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The 74-year-old actor who was affiliated with communism and was a naxalite during his student days, Mithun, affiliated with TMC (2014-16), and later joined BJP in 2021. During a recent membership drive event in the presence of BJP bigwigs, including Amit Shah, the former Rajya Sabha MP threatened violence against Muslims in the state.
He was allegedly responding to statements made by TMC leader Humayun Kabir. Mithun Chakraborty said: Kuch bhi karenge. Kuch bhi.
