All of these are inspired by L Frank Baum classic book series beginning with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900) and the subsequent 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. The movie follows the goings on in the Land of Oz before Dorothy arrives.

Wicked focuses on the friendship and later estrangement between Erivo's Elphaba and Grande's Galinda who meet at Shiz University. At the Oscars, Wicked is one of 10 films in the Best Picture category. Erivo is up for Best Actress in a Leading Role, while Grande is competing for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

She brings emotional depth to the character, making her vulnerabilities and strength feel real and relatable.

Ariana Grande, known for her pop career, surprises audiences with her portrayal of Glinda, capturing the character’s charm and pomposity with surprising grace. Their on-screen chemistry is a highlight. However, despite these stellar performances, the film suffers from an overcomplicated plot.

The main story is often overshadowed by too many subplots and additional characters that don’t feel fully developed." Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from Web Series, Entertainment News and around the world..
