Tiffany Haddish reached a breaking pointe in her 20s because of a ballet class. In fact, the Girls Trip actress still remembers a movie role she tried out for nearly two decades ago, which required her to take dance lessons that didn’t end well. “I auditioned for a ballet-style dance film and I did not get hired,” Tiffany told Us Weekly in an interview published Oct.

30. “But I also got kicked out of ballet class.” But why did Tiffany—who was 27 at the time—have to sashay away? “For cussing,” she continued.

“That s--t hurts!” After being dismissed from the class, Tiffany made sure to live up to her signature wit by showing up to watch the class. “[I’d] go to ballet,” she explained. “[I’d] go to the recital just to smite the teacher.

” Despite the pain, though, the 44-year-old shared that she still finds joy in the art of dance. “I do it at home alone all the time,” Tiffany said. “I’m not good at it.

I take barre classes. That’s my jam!” But beyond helpful poses, her grandmother passed down both a love fashion and knowledge on how to fend for herself. “We didn’t have a whole lot of money, ’cause models back then weren’t making a whole lot of money,” Tiffany explained.

“She taught me a lot about fashion and how to make clothes. I love making clothes and things like that. So, fashion is a part of who I am, and it’s how you express yourself.
