Why 'The Voice' 2025 Isn't Airing New Episodes Until April 28

The Voice fans will be waiting a couple of weeks to see new episodes! The Top 20 contestants were revealed during the April 14 episode, but viewers will have to wait until the April 28 to watch them compete in the playoffs. So, what will be airing in the meantime? Keep reading to find out more..

. NBC will air a “Road to the Playoffs” special in the Monday night time slot on April 21. The episode will likely feature some of the best moments of the season so far, as well as some new behind-the-scenes clips that haven’t been seen yet.



While this technically is a “new” episode, it won’t feature any new performances. The Voice also airs on Tuesday nights at 9/8c with repeat episodes. You can expect repeats on both April 15 and April 22.

When The Voice returns with new episodes on April 28, the Top 20 contestants will compete in the Playoffs. Each coach has five artists remaining on their teams and they will have to eliminate three artists each during this round. If you’re wondering why NBC is skipping a week of new episodes, it likely is to space out the competition until the planned finale date.
