In the series' final episode, participants got one last chance to sit with the experts and discuss their relationship while looking back on their marriage journey over the last three months. Awhina Rutene, 31, who did in fact have a moment with the experts in the final episode, revealed that some of the couples were left 'pretty disappointed' that they didn't get to nab a seat.

'I thought everyone would get their chance on this couch, but it was only the people who went to the final round,' Awhina told Pedestrian TV . The bride then went on to reveal that a lot of people deserved to watch their playback, especially after travelling such a long way to be at the reunion. 'We all gave up a lot to be there, and it would have been nice to have just seen or had some sort of validation,' she added.

'Think a lot of us wanted to see some of those good moments, especially if we were there for a few weeks,' Awhina added.

During the bombshell finale on Monday, Awhina's TV husband Adrian Araouzou was caught in multiple lies. The controversial groom, 31, took to the couch with his former wife for a final chat with the experts and to watch their marriage journey unfold on the screen. However, what the clip exposed was a number of lies the groom had told throughout the show's 12th season and a disrespectful comment he made regarding his relationship with fellow participant Sierah Swepstone, 31.

The video showed the moment it was revealed that Adrian and Sierah had been out to dinner together behind their partners' backs.
