Portugal is carving out a reputation as one of the world’s most proficient non-native English-speaking nations , now ranking sixth globally according to the latest EF English Proficiency Index (EF EPI). Braga, a city in northern Portugal, has emerged as the national leader in English proficiency, surpassing other major cities like Coimbra and Lisbon.
